We don't see in black and white. No camera, lens or colour picture will ever reproduce exactly the human view.

Black & white film is one of the least suited creative medium to reproduce reality and therefore the closest to art.

My goal as a professional photographer is not to reproduce what I see, but to suggest what I feel when I see.

At the end of the day it's all an optical illusion, whether you like it or not.
